News Broadway Cast Party Returns at New Venue Feb. 9 Jim Caruso's Cast Party, the hit Monday-night series that played the recently closed King Kong Room has found a new home.

The informal evenings, hosted by Jim Caruso and featuring impromptu performances and appearances from stars of Broadway, cabaret and Hollywood, will now be held at the intimate Ars Nova Theater. An opening extravaganza is set for Feb. 9, and subsequent Cast Parties will be held each Monday, 10 PM-2 AM. The Feb. 9 late-night event will feature Caruso, jazz musician and former 42nd Street star Billy Stritch on piano, Steve Doyle on bass as well as performances from the many performers who happen to stop by for the festivities. Among the entertainers who have been seen at previous Cast Party evenings include Liza Minnelli, Alan Cumming, Jason Alexander, Matthew Broderick and Josh Groban.

Jim Caruso is the winner of four MAC Awards and two BackStage Magazine Bistro Awards. A founding member of the jazz vocal and comedy trio Wiseguys, Caruso's solo debut recording, "Caruso Live and in Person," is available on the LML Music label.

The Ars Nova Theater is located in Manhattan at 511 West 54th Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues. There is an $8 cover charge but no minimum; cash only at the door.
