Classic Arts News Broadway Folk Cast in Opera North’s Kiss Me, Kate Brothers Jim and Bob Walton will play the vaudevillian gangsters.

Principal casting has been announced for Opera North's summer production of Cole Porter’s Kiss Me, Kate, scheduled for July 29–August 13 at the Lebanon Opera House in Lebanon, New Hampshire.

Evan Pappas will direct the production, which will feature choreography by Antoinette DiPietropolo.

The cast will feature George Dvorsky as Fred Graham, Jim and Bob Walton as the vaudevillian gangsters, Australian star Naomi O’Connell as Kate, Luke Hawkins as Bill Calhoun, Katherine McLaughlin as Lois Lane, and Emily Geller as Hattie.

In a statement, General Director Evans Haile said, “We are proud that Opera North will be celebrating its 35th season with a stellar line up of international artists and Broadway creative teams, making Opera North a not to be missed destination.”

The production will also have musical direction by Louis Burkot, set design by Michael Schweikardt, lighting by John Bartenstein, and costumes by Jill Tarr.

Opera North mainstage productions will also include Offenbach’s La Belle Hélène, directed by Andreas Hager, with choreography by Kurt Domoney, set design by David L. Arsenault, and costumes by Jack Maisenbach; and Puccini’s Madame Butterfly, directed by Russell Treyz and conducted by Filippo Ciabatti, with set designs by David Arsenault and costumes by Jack Maisenbach.
