News Broadway League Donates $100,000 to Haitian Earthquake Relief; BC/EFA and Others Also Give Once again, Broadway proves that it cares. In response to the devastating earthquake in Haiti on Jan. 12, The Broadway League will donate $100,000 to the Haitian relief efforts on behalf of the Broadway community.

This is in addition to New York City and Broadway industry initiatives to help raise funds for the Haitian relief efforts, including significant amounts to be contributed by organizations including Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the Shubert Organization, Disney, and others; adding up to $400,000 to date and growing. BC/EFA announced its own $100,000 Haitian donation earlier on Jan. 15.

Charlotte St. Martin, executive director of The Broadway League, said, "This initiative to save lives is an ongoing concern, not just a one-time contribution. Our members and the Broadway community overall are working on ways to help and to also communicate information to theatregoers on how they can get involved."

As more plans become confirmed, The Broadway League will continue to inform its community members and theatregoers on ways they can get involved.
