News Broadway Musicals — Current and Upcoming — Perform at NYC's Bryant Park This Summer Broadway takes up residence at Bryant Park again this summer as AOL Time Warner presents "Broadway Under the Stars" and 106.7 Lite FM presents "Broadway in Bryant Park" featuring Broadway shows and artists performing at the midtown green.

Sponsored by AOL Time Warner and produced by the League of American Theatres and Producers and NYC&Company, the second annual "Broadway Under the Stars" will take place June 16 at 8 PM. The free concert last year featured Katie Finneran, Linda Eder, Savion Glover, Norbert Leo Butz, Marin Mazzie, Karen Ziemba, Donna Murphy, Jane Krakowski, Lillias White and LaChanze among others backed by a 35-piece orchestra. This year's lineup of artists will be announced shortly.

06.7 Lite FM reteams with Broadway — and some Off-Broadway — musicals to present "Broadway in Bryant Park" starting July 10 and continuing every Thursday through Aug. 21. The event which features excerpts from some of the current and upcoming Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals plays middays at the park from 12:30 PM -2 PM.

The current lineup (all subject to change) is as follows:

  • 42nd Street, Big River, Nine and a show TBA - July 10
  • Hank Williams: Lost Highway, Dream A Little Dream, The Phantom of the Opera and Man of La Mancha - July 17
  • A Year With Frog and Toad, Gypsy, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Hairspray - July 24
  • Prince and the Pauper, Little Shop of Horrors, La Bohème and The Lion King - July 31
  • Movin’ Out, Beauty and the Beast, Cabaret and Mamma Mia! - Aug. 7
  • Chicago, Rent, Zanna Don’t and Aida - Aug. 14
  • Café a Go Go, The Donkey Show, The Boy From Oz and A Christmas Carol - Aug. 21
