Recorded live at Town Hall March 6, 2006, the recording features songs from musicals that opened on Broadway in 1930. Bringing these tunes to life are such theatre favorites Nancy Anderson, Marc Kudisch, Emily Skinner, Mary Testa, Deven May, Douglas Ladnier, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Sean Martin Hingston, Shannon Lewsi, Miles Phillips, Jennifer Simard and Michael Winther.
The performers are accompanied by Ross Patterson and His Little Big Band. The single CD also features live narration by critic-producer-host Siegel.
Marc Kudisch directed the concert, which featured choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical direction by Ross Patterson. "The Broadway Musicals of 1930" was produced for CD by Peter Pinne; Bruce Yeko is the executive producer.
