The playwright told the UK's Telegraph that she has been approached about writing a film version of the play, which concerns a serial killer and his abduction of a young girl, and the impact it has on two other lives.

"I've already worked out how to do it," Lavery said.

Frozen is playing on Broadway at Circle in the Square. Swoosie Kurtz, Laila Robins and Brian F. O'Byrne star. O'Byrne won a Tony Award for his performance as the serial killer.

Lavery's Last Easter is set for a Sept. 15-Oct. 23 run at Off-Broadway's MCC Theatre.
