News Broadway Stands Up for Freedom Concert Adds Leslie Odom, Jr., Carrie Manolakos and Uzo Aduba to Lineup Leslie Odom, Jr., Carrie Manolakos and Uzo Aduba are the latest actors to join the July 23 Broadway Stands Up for Freedom benefit concert at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts.

Seth Rudetsky hosts and musical directs the 7:30 PM concert at the Skirball Center that is directed by Daniel Goldstein (Godspell). Tony Kushner is the evening's honorary chair.

Odom, Jr. (Leap of Faith), Manolakos (Mamma Mia!) and Aduba (Godspell) join a line-up that includes Tony Award nominee Celia Keenan-Bolger (Peter and the Starcatcher), who will make a special appearance, as well as Nikki Renée Daniels (Porgy & Bess), Darius de Haas (Rent), Lindsay Mendez (Dogfight), Ripley Sobo (Once), The Broadway Boys, Ethan Lipton and his Orchestra, and founding performer Liana Stampur with Clinton Curtis.

All proceeds benefit the NYCLU's youth programming, including work for LGBT teenagers; the Teen Health Initiative, which educates teenagers on their rights to access health care in New York City; and its work to stop overly aggressive policing and military recruiting in the city’s public schools.
