LAFCA's 33rd annual achievement awards ceremony will be held Jan. 12, 2008 at the InterContinental Los Angeles. Paul Thomas Anderson's "There Will Be Blood" — which features current Broadway star Ciarán Hinds (The Seafarer) and Off Broadway star Paul Dano (Things We Want) — won the honors for Best Director, Actor (Daniel Day Lewis), Production Design (Jack Fisk) and Best Picture.

Ryan is a Broadway veteran of A Streetcar Named Desire, Uncle Vanya (both Tony-nominated turns) as well as The Women, The Three Sisters and The Sisters Rosensweig, On the Mountain, Crimes of the Heart, Saved and As Bees in Honey Drown. The actress earned praise for her film roles in this year's "Gone Baby Gone" and "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead." (Her runner-up is fellow stage star Cate Blanchett, recently of Hedda Gabler, for her turn as Bob Dylan in "I'm Not There.")

Marion Cotillard, who is slated to appear in the upcoming Rob Marshall movie musical "Nine," earned the Actress prize for her turn in "La Vie en Rose." Tamara Jenkins was honored for her screenplay to "The Savages" which features stage vets Philip Seymour Hoffman, Laura Linney and Philip Bosco.

Other runners up include Frank Langella ("Starting Out in the Evening") for Actor, Hal Holbrook ("Into the Wild") for Supporting Actor and Dante Ferretti ("Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street") for Production Design.
