Kaufman Music Center has announced its 2016-2017 season at Merkin Concert Hall in Manhattan, which will highlight the work of Harold Arlen, Alan Menken and Maury Yeston, among others.
The Broadway Close Up series will be held October 10 (Maury Yeston), November 14-15 (Broadway’s One-Hit Wonders) and December 5 (Frank Loesser).
The 2016 performers in the series include Kate Baldwin (Finian’s Rainbow), Mark Jacoby (Show Boat), Rebecca Luker (Fun Home), Matthew Scott (Sondheim on Sondheim), Betsy Wolfe (Falsettos), Sebastian Arcelus (Jersey Boys), Drew Gehling (Waitress), Amy Justman (Company), Alison Luff (Les Misérables), Jeffrey Denman (The Producers), Kirsten Scott (Big Fish), Allison Blackwell (A Night with Janis Joplin), Josh Grisetti (It Shoulda Been You), Sally Wilfert (Assassins) and Corey Cott (Newsies).
