News Broadway to Dim Its Lights April 21 in Honor of Late Designer Tharon Musser The marquees of the Broadway theatres will be dimmed April 21 at 8 PM for one minute to pay tribute to the late lighting designer Tharon Musser.

Musser, who won Tony Awards for Best Lighting Design for the landmark shows Follies, A Chorus Line and Dreamgirls, died April 19 after a long illness. She was 84. In a statement Charlotte St. Martin, executive director of The Broadway League, said, "Tharon Musser was an innovator in the field of Lighting Design. Her artistic contributions spanning five decades enhanced the talents of renowned creative teams and made unforgettable Broadway magic."
