News "Broadway Under the Stars" Celebrates Harold Prince June 26; Calhoun Directs Jeff Calhoun — of Big River fame — will direct the annual "Broadway Under the Stars" concert June 26 at the Great Lawn in Central Park.

The 8 PM concert will pay tribute to legendary theatre director and producer Harold Prince, who is currently in Las Vegas helming the newest production of The Phantom of the Opera. The evening will feature choreography by Chase Brock and musical direction by Phil Reno, who will lead a live orchestra.

Fireworks will follow the performance.

Hal Prince is the recipient of 21 Tony Awards and the Kennedy Center Honors. Among the Broadway shows he has directed and produced are Follies, A Little Night Music and Sweeney Todd. His most recent Broadway directorial credits include The Phantom of the Opera, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Candide, Parade, Show Boat and Hollywood Arms; he also helmed the out-of-town productions of Stephen Sondheim's Bounce.

Those attending should enter the park at West 81st Street at Central Park West or East 79th Street at Fifth Avenue. For more information visit broadwayunderthestars.com.
