Off-Broadway's Broadway U.S.A. spring series -- "the Graciela Daniele season"-- will conclude with its third and final staged reading, The Book of the Dun Cow, Monday, June 22 at Theatre Four (424 W. 55th). Showtime is 7 PM.

Steve Blanchard and Timothy Jerome of Beauty and the Beast, Cass Morgan of 1776, Gordon Stanley of Ragtime and Jamie Dawn Gangi will star.

Daniele, director-choreographer of A New Brain, selected the three plays that were done this season from selections subjected by the organization. Pat Birch will inherit that task when she serves as the company's fall guest artistic director.

"These are all promotional staged readings," explains Jerome, the company's [permanent] artistic director. "I'm calling them showcase readings because they're public, they're not private, they're not backers auditions, and they're not part of the development. I'm trying to find a new name for them. I've come up with showcase readings."
