News Broadway Vet April Shawhan Stars in New England Mounting of Bosoms and Neglect, Aug. 14-31 April Shawhan, who was Blanche to Alec Baldwin's Stanley in the 1988 Broadway revival of A Streetcar Named Desire, will star in John Guare's Bosoms and Neglect at the Payomet Performing Arts Center in North Truro, Massachusetts.

Shawhan will act alongside Florence Phillips and Victor Warren in Guare's tale of psychoanalysis, bibliophilia and mother hatred. Larry Arrick directs. Shawhan's Broadway debut was in 1965's A Race of Hairy Men. Other Broadway credits include Dinner at Eight, Much Ado About Nothing, The School for Wives, the musical Over Here!, and Christopher Durang's A History of the American Film. Previous experience with Guare includes a role in the 1969 Broadway premiere of Cop-Out with Linda Lavin and Ron Liebman.
