William Popp, who was featured in the long-running immersive Off-Broadway play Sleep No More, will find his voice as Earl, the menacing husband of the character played by Jessie Mueller, in the Broadway musical Waitress.

Popp, who has been seen on TV in Power, Person of Interest, Blue Bloods, Blacklist and The Americans, will assume the role beginning September 23.

Nick Cordero, who earned a Tony nomination playing a gangster in Woody Allen's Bullets Over Broadway and who created the role of Earl onstage, is leaving the Sara Bareilles musical September 22 to star in the new Broadway musical A Bronx Tale: The Musical, which opens later this fall.
