BroadwayCon returns January 27–29, 2017, at the Javits Center, with a slate of stars and original programming created for theatre fans by theatre fans.
Newly announced is the Kids on Broadway Panel, featuring a lineup of Broadway’s youngest stars, including Tony nominee Sydney Lucas (Fun Home), Jake Lucas (The King and I), Sarah Charles Lewis (Tuck Everlasting), Allie Trimm (13), Sophia Gennusa (Matilda), Ava Briglia (Matilda), Taylor Richardson (Annie), Heidi Gray (Annie), and Benjamin Cook (Newsies).
The panel will take place January 28.
Here’s how the talk is billed: “Being the lead of a Broadway show is hard, but it’s even harder when you also have homework to do. Hear from some of Broadway’s kids who’ve balanced school, family, friends, and all that being on Broadway entails, from voice lessons to stage dooring to put-in rehearsals.”
Co-presented by Playbill, Mischief Management, and Anthony Rapp, the one-of-a-kind weekend includes panels, performances, one-on-one star moments, seminars, autograph and photo sessions, a booming Marketplace, and other activities.
BroadwayCon 2017 will feature stars and artists from Frozen, Hamilton, War Paint, In Transit, The Great Comet, Waitress, School of Rock, Newsies, Dear Evan Hansen, Once On This Island, Hedwig, Fiddler on the Roof, Phantom of the Opera, A New Brain, Wicked, Allegiance, Grease, Cinderella, If/Then, Something Rotten!, Rent, and more.
