Production on the romantic comedy is scheduled to begin in the title city this summer, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Pill (This Wide Night, The Lieutenant of Inishmore, The Miracle Worker), Brody ("The Pianist"), Kurt Fuller, Tom Hiddleston and Mimi Kennedy join the previously reported Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur), Michael Sheen (Frost Nixon), Corey Stoll (A View from the Bridge), Oscar winners Marion Cotillard ("Nine," "La Vie En Rose") and Kathy Bates ("Misery"), Owen Wilson ("Night at the Museum," "Wedding Crashers") and French first lady Carla Bruni.
All that is known about the film's plot is that it is about a family traveling to Paris for business, including a young engaged couple who come to confront the illusion that a life that is not their own is a better life.
The film will be produced by Letty Aronson, Steve Tenenbaum and Jaume Roures, as part of a three-film financial deal between Allen's Gravier Productions and the Spanish company Mediapro. Imagina International Sales will handle most of the film's international distribution.
