The work, which played an Off-Broadway run in 2000, centers on a group of taxi drivers in 1977 Pittsburgh. Jitney will run March 19-April 3, 2011. Casting will be announced at a later date.

Simmons last appeared on Broadway in Tennessee Williams' Not About Nightingales and in Howard Korder's Search and Destroy.
