On Aug. 9 Great Performances will air "Broadway's Lost Treasures II" at 8 PM ET; check local listings. The series features musical segments from Tony Awards broadcasts throughout the years. Viewers can expect to see performances by Bea Arthur, Nell Carter, George Hearn, Gregory Hines, Michael Jeter, Angela Lansbury, Patti LuPone, Robert Morse, Jerry Orbach, Juliet Prowse, Chita Rivera, Colm Wilkinson and Shirley Verrett. Among the musicals spotlighted are Ain't Misbehavin', Anything Goes, Carousel, Chicago, Grand Hotel, Guys and Dolls, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Les Misérables, Mame, Man of La Mancha and Sweet Charity.

Tony Award winners Lauren Bacall, Bebe Neuwirth, Jerry Orbach and Brian Stokes Mitchell will host the broadcast, which is divided into three sections: "The Leads," "Revivals and Record Breakers" and "All Singing! All Dancing!"

"Sit Down You're Rockin' the Boat" from Guys and Dolls performed by Walter Bobbie and company The initial airing of "Broadway's Lost Treasures" was the top-rated program of PBS's Summer Pledge Drive. The series is produced by Christopher J. Cohen, son of Alexander H. Cohen, who produced the Tony broadcasts from 1967-1986.
