The sizzling Broadway musical is recording a live cast album during the March 2 matinee and evening performances, sources tell Playbill.com. Plans for a cast recording have not officially been announced since the production arrived on Broadway.

Representatives for the production confirmed the news to Playbill.com.

The jukebox musical opened on Broadway Nov. 5 at the Marquis Theatre. Box office sales have been strong for the production that is packed with Estefan’s chart-topping hits.

Ana Villafañe and Josh Segarra co-star as Gloria and Emilio Estefan, respectively. The musical is directed by of two-time Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell with choreography by Drama Desk nominee and Olivier Award winner Sergio Trujillo. It has a book by Academy Award winner Alexander Dinelaris.
