New World Symphony, America's Orchestral Academy, kicks off their 2014-15 season with innovative selections from classical musicians from Stravinsky to Antheil – with choreography from Broadway legend Patricia Birch (Parade) – tonight Oct. 11 at 7:30 PM at the New World Center (500 17th Street, Miami Beach, FL).

There will be a second performance Oct. 12 at 2 PM.

Patricia Birch choreographs dancers Kiva Dawson and Erin Moore with music from cellist Tamás Varga and pianist Peter Dugan. Michael Tilson Thomas will conduct.

The performances, according to press notes, feature, "groundbreaking selections by classical music revolutionaries," from Schoenberg to Stravinsky to, "Antheil’s inventive A Jazz Symphony, also inspired by Stravinsky, [which] comes alive in a newly created staged performance that encapsulates the easy-going Jazz Age, complete with dancers, projections and lighting."
