The Prom will hit the road, launching a national tour in February 2021 in Providence, Rhode Island. The musical comedy continues to play Broadway's Longacre Theatre.

Additionally, Theatrical Rights Worldwide has acquired licensing rights to the show; details on the show's professional and amateur availability to come.

The show, directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, tells the story of Emma, a high school student in Indiana who becomes the center of a media scandal for wanting to bring her girlfriend to the prom. When her plight catches the attention of some Broadway eccentrics, Emma’s story goes from small-town scandal to theatrical, jazz hand-laden frenzy.

In addition to traveling the country, the Bob Martin, Matthew Sklar, and Chad Beguelin musical is also heading to bookshelves and the small screen, as a Young Adult novel (out September 10) and Netflix movie adaptation (from Ryan Murphy) are currently in the works.
