News Broadway’s Wicked Names Its Next Elphaba Jennifer DiNoia has played the role more than any other actress in the show’s history.

Jennifer DiNoia, who has played greenified wicked witch Elphaba in seven companies across four countries—more than any other actress in the history of Wicked—will join the Broadway production August 1 at the Gershwin Theatre.

The role of Elphaba is currently being played by Rachel Tucker, who will give her final performance on Broadway on Saturday, July 30.

DiNoia joins a cast that includes Carrie St. Louis as Glinda, Tony Award-winner Judy Kaye as Madame Morrible, Peter Scolari as The Wizard, Dawn E. Cantwell as Nessarose, Michael Genet as Dr. Dillamond, and Zachary Noah Piser as Boq.
