News Bronx Patriarch Oversees Wild Mushrooms at NYC's Arclight Starting June 10 Wild Mushrooms, Anne Pia's comedy about a Bronx family, makes its New York premiere June 10 at the Arclight Theatre after a run in Los Angeles.

Om Productions presents the Equity showcase staging, opening June 12, directed by T.J. Castronovo. The play ran three months at the Renegade Theatre in L.A. Wild Mushrooms focuses on Benny, a widower who does the best he can to raise his kids in a loving, if not complicated, Italian family in the Bronx. Seen through the eyes of Benny's 13-year-old son, Joey, the play's characters include Benny's psychic sister and his two daughters ("one strong-willed and one clueless") and a couple of guys of questionable character.

The cast includes Stacie Bono, Susan Campanaro, Alfred Cherry, Anthony Corso, Lou Martini, Jr., Maulik Pancholy, Al Sapienza, Dylan Snyder and Mary Tahmin.

Performances play Thursday-Saturday at 8 PM, Sunday at 3 PM. Arclight Theatre is at 152 West 71st Street. Tickets are $15. For reservations, call (212) 787-8716.
