PlayBlog Brooke Shields Talks The Addams Family on "The View" (Video) Brooke Shields, who will soon step into the role of Morticia in The Addams Family, recently visited "The View" to talk about taking over for Tony Award winner Bebe Neuwirth at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.

Here, Shields tells the ladies of "The View" about the advice she received a from her children regarding her new role. The actress will begin performances June 28, marking her fifth show on Broadway. Shields also performed on Broadway in the musicals Grease, Chicago, Cabaret and Wonderful Town.

On "The View," the ladies also bring up Shields' flub in the opening number of the Tonys. The actress explains what happened on June 12 and admits that she thought she was having a stroke when she messed up at the 65th annual Tony Awards.
