A production statement says the actor is temporarily leaving the musical at the Plymouth Theatre to continue filming the big-screen adaptation of "Charlotte's Web." Lee Morgan, who originated Anderson's role of Taylor Collins in the world premiere of the musical in Denver, will fill in for Anderson during his absence. No return date has been announced.

Directed and choreographed by Big River's Jeff Calhoun, Brooklyn began previews Sept. 23, 2004, and officially opened Oct. 21 at the Plymouth Theatre. Eden Espinosa, who portrays the title character Brooklyn, is featured in a company that also includes Cleavant Derricks, Ramona Keller and Karen Olivo with Manoel Felciano, Julie Reiber, Sara Schmidt, Horace V. Rogers and Haneefah Wood.

Brooklyn, according to production notes, concerns a band of performers, who "tell a wondrous sidewalk fairy tale about a young girl searching for fame and the father she never knew. With just one clue to lead her, she lands in the city that bears her name, Brooklyn."

The Plymouth Theatre is located at 236 West 45th Street. Brooklyn plays Tuesdays at 7 PM, Wednesday-Saturday nights at 8 PM, with Wednesday and Saturday matinees at 2 PM, and Sundays at 3 PM.
