News Brooklyn's Young Charlie Pineapple Theatre Offers Of Mice and Men Nov. 5-Dec. 18 A young Brooklyn troupe with the quirky name of The Charlie Pineapple Theatre Company will offer a new production of John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men at its home in the neighborhood of Williamsburg.

The show will be Pineapple's fourth offering, after Lyle Kessler's Orphans, Sam Shepard's True West and John Patrick Shanley's Danny and the Deep Blue Sea. The troupe was founded in 2002. The company will include Mark VanDerBeets, Robert McCarthy, Steve Abbruscato, Mark Stone, David Prosser, Sarah VanDerBeets, James Kloiber, John Kucher, David Crane and Reginald Ferguson. The two VanDerBeets are the company's co-artistic directors.

The outfit's mission statement reads: "The Goal of the Charlie Pineapple Theatre Company is to produce the highest quality work with plays that push the boundaries of conventional theatre, while pushing the limits of the actors and audience alike."

The production will take place at 248B N. 8th Street at Roebling Street, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Tickets are $15. Call (718) 907-0577.
