The gala begins at 3 PM PT with cocktails and a silent auction, followed by a dinner and live broadcast of the Tonys at 5 PM. The Julie Harris Award will be presented by Annie Potts (God of Carnage) at 8 PM.

Scheduled to attend are Loni Anderson, Anne Jeffreys, George Chakiris, Sheldon Epps, Ruta Lee, Brad Ellis, Ilene Graff, Patricia Barry, Alan Mandell, Charlotte Rae, Michael Learned, Bruce Vilanch, Lorna Luft, Frances Fisher, Theodore Bikel, Richard Herd, Orson Bean, Bryan Batt, Patricia Morison, Holland Taylor, Bryan Cranston, Peter Hunt, Jeffrey Jones, Roxanne Hart, Cristine Rose, James Karen, Roslyn Kind and Barbara Van Orden.

The gala features the only approved live feed of the Tony Awards as they happen in New York. Neil Patrick Harris hosts the 66th Annual Tony Awards, which are broadcast live from the Beacon Theatre in New York City. 

Previous recipients of the Julie Harris Award include Julie Harris, Gwen Verdon, Charles Durning, Rita Moreno, James Earl Jones, Tyne Daly, Lauren Bacall, Stockard Channing, Carol Channing, Liza Minnelli, Jerry Herman, Tommy Tune, Chita Rivera, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Hal Holbrook.

Alexander won the Tony Award in 1989 for his performance in Jerome Robbins' Broadway. The actor, known for his portrayal of George Costanza in the hit TV series "Seinfeld," has also been seen on Broadway in Accomplice, Broadway Bound, The Rink and Merrily We Roll Along.
