News Bryan Cranston, All The Way, Jungle Book and The Flick Compete for Elliot Norton Awards The Boston Theater Critics Association presents the 32nd Annual Elliot Norton Awards May 19 at the Wheelock Family Theatre at 7 PM.

It was previously announced that the Elliot Norton Prize for Sustained Excellence goes to Paul Daigneault, the founder and producing artistic director of SpeakEasy Stage Company; and that Academy Award winner Olympia Dukakis receives the 2014 Elliot Norton Lifetime Achievement Award (with special remarks by her cousin and former Governor Michael Dukakis).

The awards ceremony also include tributes to Julie Harris and Jeremy Geidt.

Nominations for Outstanding Production by a Large Resident Theater include All the Way and The Heart of Robin Hood at American Repertory Theater and Venus in Fur at Huntington Theatre Company.

Tribes at Speakeasy Stage Company, Imagining Madoff at New Repertory Theatre and The Cherry Orchard at Actors’ Shakespeare Project are nominated for Outstanding Production by a Midsize Theater.

Nominations for Outstanding Actor, Large Theater, include Bryan Cranston, All the Way (American Repertory Theater); Bongile Mantsai, Mies Julie (Baxter Theatre Center, presented by ArtsEmerson); and Denis O’Hare, An Iliad (Homer’s Coat, presented by ArtsEmerson).

Outstanding Actress, Large Theater nominees include Hilda Cronje, Mies Julie (Baxter Theatre Center, presented by ArtsEmerson); Andrea Syglowski, Venus in Fur (Huntington Theatre Company); and Christina Bennett Lind, The Heart of Robin Hood (American Repertory Theater).

Nominees for Outstanding Ensemble, Midsize, Small or Fringe Theater include Punk Rock (Zeitgeist Stage Company); Windowmen (Boston Playwrights’ Theatre); Hairspray (Wheelock Family Theatre); and Thoroughly Modern Millie (Stoneham Theatre).
