The private readings will take place Oct. 27 and 28 at the Kirk Theatre on Theatre Row. The work is currently optioned by Martian Entertainment, who presented Off-Broadway's Naked Boys Singing!

The cast will feature Buchanan (Cry-Baby), Spieler (Legally Blonde) and Scott (Avenue Q) as well as Henry Gainza (Four Guys Named Jose...and una mujer named Maria), Heather Corrigan, Tiffany Ellen Solano, Jonathan Monk and Dominick Bei.

Jordan Beck and Jonathan May created the musical, which follows "eight strangers searching for identity in the world of cyberspace. Bloggers, flirts, playaz, Goth chicks and artists collide, in a universal story about the one thing we all seek in common: Acceptance," according to press notes.

Top 8, which features a cast of eight and band of eight musicians, has book and lyrics by Beck and a score by May. A Myspace page for the production currently offers music videos from the musical, as well as downloads of songs from the score.
