News Buckley, Bennett, Johnson and Harmon Set for God of Carnage at TheaterWorks Yasmina Reza's Tony Award-winning comedy God of Carnage, featuring Candy Buckley, Susan Bennett, Royce Johnson and Wynn Harmon, will arrive at Hartford TheaterWorks Nov. 12.

Tazewell Thompson will direct the dark, four-actor comedy about two couples who attempt to resolve a playground dispute between their sons. As communication breaks down, so do the lines between parents, children and the rest of the animal kingdom.

Buckley (Broadway's Cabaret, After the Fall) will star as Veronica, with Bennett (Our Town Off-Broadway) as Annette, Johnson (Brother/Sister Plays at the Public Theater) as Alan and Harmon (Porgy and Bess on Broadway) as Michael.

God of Carnage will have designs by Donald Eastman (set design), Harry Nadal (costume design), Marcus Doshi (lighting design) and Fabian Obispo (sound design).

God of Carnage will run through Dec. 19.

TheaterWorks has also made revisions to its season, which will now include David Mamet's legal drama Race and the official inclusion of Keith Huff's recent Broadway cop drama A Steady Rain. Deirdre O'Connor's Jailbait has been dropped from the bill. The 2010-2011 Hartford TheaterWorks season follows:
