Buffalo's Road Less Traveled to Premiere Romantic Comedy Twice Around

News   Buffalo's Road Less Traveled to Premiere Romantic Comedy Twice Around

Road Less Traveled Productions, filling a void in Buffalo, NY, lately following the 2008 shutdown of Studio Arena Theatre, offers the world premiere of Darryl Schneider's romantic comedy, Twice Around, about a man's middle-school crush resurfacing after many years, Jan. 23-Feb 15.

According to RLTP, "It's love at second sight for Kevin and Beth, estranged since eighth grade and reunited on the local jogging path. Unfortunately, Beth is married, but that won't discourage Kevin, whose first crush has just gotten a second wind."

Doug Weyand directs a cast that includes Lou Colaiacovo, Kelly Jakiel, Nicole Cimmato and Tom LaChuisa.

Schneider is the author of the critically acclaimed Two to the Head and War Room, winner of the 2007 Artie for Best New Play. He is a resident playwright with RLTP.

Scott Behrend and Jon Elston founded Road Less Traveled Productions in 2002. Its mission is to develop and produce world- premiere productions by local playwrights.

Twice Around's creative team includes resident set designer Ron Schwartz, lighting designer Patty Rihn, costume designer Maura Price and sound designer Katie Menke. RLTP presents in a 90-seat theatre in the Market Arcade Film & Arts Centre at 639 Main Street in Buffalo. Twice Around performances are Thursday–Saturday at 7:30 PM and Sunday at 2 PM. There is no show Jan. 25.
