A starry reading of Burning Desire was held in Los Angeles in June 2007. At that time the play was described as "a romantic comedy in two acts," which is told through "the puppeteering antics of Lucifer, played by Phillips. Two people who encounter what seems to be the love of their lives, are taken on a roller coaster ride of romance masterfully manipulated by the mystical matchmaker."

Seven Angels bills the play this way: "A story about The DEVIL (Lou Diamond Phillips) and a modern day ADAM and EVE. He makes them fall in love and then gets his fun by creating havoc in their lives. Will they sell their soul for TRUE LOVE?"

Lou Diamond Phillips received a Tony nomination for his role in the 1996 Broadway revival of The King and I. He is best known for such movies as "La Bamba," "Young Guns," "Courage Under Fire" and "Stand and Deliver."

Seven Angels is located at 1 Plank Road, Historic Hamilton Park Pavilion in Waterbury, CT.
