Entitled (Re)Writing History, the 6:30 PM discussion will be held in the Martin E. Segal Theatre. The evening's panel will comprise award-winning playwright David Henry Hwang (M. Butterfly, Golden Child, Golden Gate), librettist Michael Korie (Grey Gardens, The Grapes of Wrath, Harvey Milk) and historian David Nasaw (Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr. Professor of History, the Graduate Center). Playwright William Hoffman will moderate. The evening, according to press notes, will attempt to answer the question "What do artists and historians owe to history? Two playwrights/librettists and a historian meet to dispute the nature of the debt the living owe the dead."
