"Norbert Leo Butz and Bill Irwin play men of the cloth, one more over-the-top than the other — guess who!," teases Donna Murphy, who, like these two fellow Tony winners, has signed up for a new movie now before the cameras in upstate New York.

“Higher Ground” is the picture in question, and it went before the cameras May 30 on a farm owned by the film’s director and star, Vera Farmiga, an Oscar contender recently for “Up in the Air.” Murphy plays the mother of Farmiga and Nina Arianda.

Written by Carolyn Briggs and Tim Metcalfe, the movie also features Dagmara Dominczyk, John Hawkes, Joshua Leonard, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Boyd Holbrook.
