Broadway Moments," the third annual benefit concert to benefit the American Foundation for AIDS Research (AmFAR), will take place Oct. 6 at 9 PM in the E&L auditorium of New York University located at 566 LaGuardia Place in New York.
This year, students at NYU have culled their resources to bring some of today's well known Broadway performers to the frontline of the AIDS battle. Artists from such shows as Beauty and the Beast, The King and I, Miss Saigon, Cats, Grease, Show Boat, Rent and Smokey Joe's Cafe are scheduled to be in attendance. Plus TV actress Sharon Leal, from the CBS soap series Guidling Light, will be spotlighted in the show.
Sponsored by the fraternity Delta Kappa Epsilon, "Broadway Moments" has raised some valuable funds in the two-plus years of its initiation.
Tickets cost $15 for NYU students, $20 for the general public. "Broadway Moments" is also offering a $40 VIP ticket which will include dinner at a Greenwich Village restaurant. For further information or to reserve tickets, please contact Romeo Joven at (718) 760-3564.
