Cady Huffman, who won a Tony Award for her performance as Ulla in The Producers, will return to Birdland next month.

The acclaimed singing actress will offer The Tree of Life Aug. 2 at 7 PM.

Huffman, along with saxophonist Michael Hashim, will "celebrate, challenge and sometimes twist into oblivion traditional jazz with their musical collaboration . . . a tribute to the loves, lives and losses that have shaped their love of music." They will be joined by Ed MacCeachen on guitar, Kelly Freisen on bass and Willard Dyson on drums.

Cady Huffman received Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards for her performance in The Producers. She has also appeared on Broadway in The Will Rogers Follies, Steel Pier, Big Deal, La Cage aux Folles and Dame Edna: The Royal Tour and Off-Broadway in Surface to Air. Huffman has been seen on screen in "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "One Life to Live," "Sunday on the Rocks," "Hero," "Space Marines," "Itty Bitty Titty Committee" and "Romance & Cigarettes."
