News Callaway, Jenkins and Caughell Set for Free Broadway Today Concert at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage 12th Anniversary Celebration: Broadway Today, which celebrates both the 12th anniversary of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts' free Millennium Stage concert series and the third generation of Broadway composers, will be presented Jan. 31 at the Washington, DC, venue.

As previously announced, Wicked composer Stephen Schwartz and Tony Award-winning actor Brian Stokes Mitchell will co-host the concert, which begins at 6 PM. The evening will feature a host of Tony-recognized composers and lyricists, including Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime, Once on This Island), Scott Frankel and Michael Korie (Grey Gardens) and Jeanine Tesori (Caroline, or Change; Shrek the Musical). Vocalists for the concert will include Liz Callaway (Miss Saigon, Cats), Capathia Jenkins (Caroline, or Change; Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me) and Caitlyn Caughell, who will be accompanied by the aforementioned composers.

Free tickets are required for the upcoming event and will be distributed one per person in front of the Opera House beginning at 4 PM Jan. 31.

The concert will be followed by a week of performances on the Millennium Stage featuring new Broadway composers.
