Broadway's singing sisters, Liz Callaway and Ann Hampton Callaway, will revive their cabaret evening, Sibling Revelry, in Irvington, NY, May 21 as a benefit for The Hudson Stage Company, a professional theatre in Westchester County, north of Manhattan. Hudson Stage was founded two years ago by producers Dan Foster, Denise Bessette and Olivia Sklar and has so far only presented staged readings, with such actors as Chris Innvar, Betsy Joslyn, Cass Morgan and Kali Rocha. The troupe's mandate is new works; it will operate under an Equity special appearance contract in the fall.
The first full production will be Oct. 20-Nov. 5, when Suzanne Bradbeer's Full Bloom has its New York-area premiere. Performances will be in the Carriage House at the Teatown Lake Reservation in Westchester. The makeshift space will allow the company to create its own style of production, Foster told Playbill On-Line.
Sibling Revelry, meanwhile, reunites the singing sisters known for work in clubs (Rainbow and Stars and elsewhere) and on Broadway (Liz in Baby and Miss Saigon, Ann currently Tony Award-nominated in Swing!).
Meredith Vieira of ABC's "The View" will host the Sibling Revelry evening 7 PM in the Town Hall Theatre in Irvington. For ($50) ticket information, call (914) 591-6602.
