Place: Schmackary's, 362 W. 45th St., between 8th & 9th Ave.
Specialty: Homemade cookies — over 65 flavors
Lesli's Order: Caramel apple cookie
"It was started by Zachary Schmahl, who was a performer, and decided that on his downtime he'd make these cookies. Well, it turned out that everyone loved them so much that he opened up this shop! Every year they do Broadway Bakes, which raises money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and they get Broadway celebs to come in, man the cash register, give people their cookies and take pictures."
