News Cameron and O'Connell Begin Looking for the Pony Jan. 21 The world premiere of Andrea Lepcio's poignant work Looking for the Pony begins performances in Manhattan Jan. 21 at the McGinn Cazale Theatre.

The Vital Theatre Company presents the limited engagement, which officially opens Jan. 26 and runs through Feb. 8. Stephen Golux directs.

The cast features J. Smith Cameron (Good Boys and True), Deidre O'Connell (The Poor Itch) Lori Funk (Three on a Couch) and Debargo Sanyal (Queens Boulevard).

In Looking for the Pony, press notes state, "Eloisa is finally ready to leave a lifeless career in finance to pursue a childhood dream when her sister Lauren is diagnosed with breast cancer. Lauren's perfect life and Eloisa's second chance collide as the sisters join forces to cure all that ails them. As funny as it is heart-breaking, Looking for the Pony is a rollercoaster ride through treatment, ambition, loss and acceptance."

The production has set design by Adam Koch, lighting design by Aaron Copp, costume design by Matthew Hemesath and sound design by Jessica Paz.

Following its world-premiere production, Looking for the Pony will play the Synchronicity Performance Group in February. Lepcio's plays include One Nation Under, Eclipse, Hook & Eye and the musical The Bronx Casket Co. Tickets, priced $45, are available by phoning (212) 579-0528, or by visiting VitalTheatre.
