Longbottom (Side Show, The Scarlet Pimpernel) directs the work, which will run through Aug. 19 with an opening slated for July 19. The ensemble will feature Alan Campbell (as Richard Greatham), Judith Lightfoot Clark (Judith Bliss), Santino Fontana (Simon Bliss), Mikel Sarah Lambert (Clara), Bridget Moloney (Jackie Coryton), Brian Slaten (Sandy Tyrel), Sarah Grace Wilson (Sorel Bliss), John Windsor-Cunningham (David Bliss) and Yvonne Woods (Myra Arundel).
Hay Fever centers around "the eccentric Bliss family" which, according to a production description, includes "a retired actress, her novelist husband, and their two children [who] invites a guest to their country home, unbeknownst to each other. As the unwitting visitors arrive in hopes of a romantic weekend, the stage is set for comedy and chaos."
The design team includes Andrew Jackness (scenic), Gregg Barnes (costumes), Chris Akerlind (lighting) and Paul Peterson (sound). Tracy Skoczelas serves as stage manager.
Tickets for Hay Fever are on sale through the Globe Ticket Services at (619) 23 GLOBE, at the Globe Box Office (1363 Old Globe Way in Balboa Park) or theoldglobe.org.
