Campy Captain's Boy Premieres at IL's Bailiwick, Dec. 1-Jan. 3 An old sea tale takes a new twist when The Captain's Boy, a camp musical by Clint Jeffries and Chris Jackson, debuts at The Bailiwick Arts Center in Chicago, Dec. 1, 1998-Jan. 3, 1999. The Captain's Boy tells the story of a group of pirates who, while plundering a Spanish Galleon, come across two unexpected treasures -- a Spanish lady and an unlocked trunk. The musical comedy sends up classic films like "Mutiny on the Bounty" and "Treasure Island" with gay themes and humor.
