Ontario's Tarragon Theatre will close its production of Shelagh Stephenson's The Memory of Water Dec. 13. The production -- the Canadian premiere of the English play -- began performances Nov. 4 and opened Nov. 10.
The drama stars Martha Burns, Peter Cockett, Nancy Palk, Randy Hughson, Kristen Thomson and Corrine Koslo. Jackie Maxwell directs.
Stephenson's play had its premiere at the Hampstead Theatre in London and was subsequently produced at Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre. In New York, the play was recently produced by Manhattan Theatre Club on its Stage II space.
Water concerns three daughters who have just lost their mother, of whom none of them have particularly fond memories. But then, they're not so crazy about each other either, or their husbands and boyfriends for that matter.
