Thirteen Hands by Carol Shields, runs through March 22 at the Canadian Stage in Toronto. In the play, a weekly bridge club gathering becomes an oasis of laughter and friendship for four women, their daughters and grand-daughters. The table talk covers everything from husbands, to soap operas to personal dreams and intimate secrets.

Canadian Stage also is preparing a production of the Tony-winning musical Passion by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine, he same team that created Into the Woods. The musical drama opens April 7 and runs through May 10.
