Canongate Theatre Company's production of Tennesse Williams' The Milk Train Doesn't Stop Here Anymore opens Sept. 25 at Chicago Dramatists' Workshop, where it is set to run until Oct. 24. Previews began Sept. 23.

The story of flamboyant Flora Goforth, a wealthy woman near death, who encounters Chris, a young spiritual poet, Milk Train opened on Broadway in 1962, running for 69 performances.

Directed by Marge Uhlarik, Canongate's production includes Franette Liebow as Flora (Terrapin's Aunt Dan And Lemon), John Westby (Canongate's The Lion In Winter) as Chris, Kimberly Kurtenbach as Blackie, Steve Levitt as Rudy, and Annie Slivinski as the Witch of Capri.

Designers are Lisa Adkins (sets), Laura Blobaum (costumes), Laura Walczak (lights), and Chris Kriz (sound).
