News Cantone, Coolidge, Handler Guest on Final "Sex and the City" Season, Starting June 22 HBO's "Sex and the City" series' sixth and final season premieres on the cable network, June 22 at 9 PM (ET). The new season, as usual, features guest appearances from a number of New York theatre actors.

The half-hour candid sex comedy stars Sarah Jessica Parker (Wonder of the World, Annie) Cynthia Nixon (The Women, Hurlyburly), Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis (The Exonerated).

Among the recurring characters who will see a return include Chris Noth (Gore Vidal's The Best Man), David Eigenberg (Take Me Out), Mario Cantone (upcoming The Violet Hour) and Evan Handler (I Hate Hamlet, Six Degrees of Separation). Ron Livingston, John Corbett and newcomer Jason Lewis will also be among the many love interests who appear.

Jennifer Coolidge (The Women, "Best in Show") also makes an appearance as will Lynn Cohen (Ivanov, Orpheus Descending) and Pierre Epstein (Plenty, Enter Laughing).

"Sex and the City" was created by Darren Star and is executive produced by Michael Patrick King, John Melfi, Cindy Chupack and Parker with co-executive producer Jenny Bicks. The series is based on the book by Candace Bushnell.

The sixth season premiere of HBO's "Sex and the City" airs July 22 at 9 PM (ET). Check your local listings. The season is split — the first 12 of 20 new episodes will play through Sept. 14 and the final eight will begin in January 2004. For more information, visit www.hbo.com.
