Written and performed by Cantrelle, Looking Up centers on the love affair between a trapeze artist and a frustrated bartender. Described as part aerial performance and traditional theatre, the unique love story also stars Bryant Mason.

Giovanna Sardelli directs the work, which earned acclaim during its 2002 Edinburgh Fringe Festival engagement. Looking Up star and writer Cantrelle was a co-producer and performer in the aerial variety show Above the Belt. Her work has also been seen in the Estrogenius Festival and at Joe's Pub in the debut production by the Fire Dept., SpeakEasy.

Looking Up's creative team includes Nathan Elsener (set and lighting design), Christopher A. Granger (sound design) and Emily Glinick (stage manager).

Looking Up – inspired by a circus class Cantrelle attended – began life as a monologue and was crafted through further presentations at the Knitting Factory, the American Living Room Festival, and as part of the 78th Street TheaterLab, where it was developed into a full-length work.
