Kristin McLaughlin, who was the assistant director to Stanley Tucci in the Broadway revival of Lend Me a Tenor, will direct and choreograph the hit musical, which is scheduled to run Nov. 3-Dec. 4 in the Cape Rep Indoor Theatre.
The cast will feature Morgan West, Jessica Albon, Kako Kitano, Darlene Van Alstyne, Andrew Ford, Jared Hagan and Holly Erin McCarthy.
Avenue Q features a Tony-winning score by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx and a Tony-winning book by Jeff Whitty. The musical, according to press notes, concerns "the search for one’s purpose in life. It’s funny and irreverent, full of energy and charm and is fearless at addressing political correctness."
The creative team will also include puppetry coach Aymee Garcia, musical director Scott Storr, set designer Ryan McGettigan, costume designer Robin McLaughlin, lighting designer Herrick Goldman and prop designer Mary Fritz. Stage manager is Heather Lannen.
Show times are Wednesdays at 7 PM, Thursdays-Saturdays at 8 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. Tickets are $30. Call (508) 896-1888 or visit www.caperep.org. Cape Rep warns, "Parental discretion advised for children ages 13 and over."
