Ruben Blades (The Capeman) and Maria Conchita Alonso (Kiss of the Spider Woman) are only two of the stars who will perform at "El Concierto Por La Vida" (Concert for Life) at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall on Nov. 16 at 8 PM. Held to benefit Gay Men's Health Crisis and especially GMHC's programs aimed at New York's Latino community, the concert will also honor actress Rosie Perez ("Fearless", "Do The Right Thing") and AIDS activist Moises Agosto for their efforts to raise AIDS awareness.

Conchita Alonso hosts the event, directed by Luis Avalos. Albita, Blades, Johnny Pacheco, Gilberto Santa Rosa and the "Queen of Salsa" Celia Cruz will perform, while Comedian Liz Torres ("The John Larroquette Show"), "20/20" correspondent Elizabeth Vargas, and supermodels Christy Turlington and Patricia Velazquez will make special appearances.

Tickets for the event are $125 - $45 with special benefit tickets at $350 which include a post-concert gala with the performers at El Flamingo. Benefit tickets are available by calling the GMHC Special Event's Office 212-367-1111. All other tickets should be purchased by calling CenterCharge at 212-721-6500.
