Presented by Rolex, the one-night-only event, press notes state, will celebrate "a variety of entertainment that defines our American culture — past, present and future. This eclectic evening is an assimilation and fusion of styles that move from theatre to concert dance, to television and film, in a vibrant homage to an array of dance genres."

Produced and directed by Ann Marie DeAngelo, America Dances! will boast the talents of Ballet de Monterrey, Laura Benanti, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, Crazy Legs & Rock Steady Crew, Charlotte d'Amboise, Dance Times Square, DJ Activephaze, Electric Boogaloo's Mr. Wiggles, Nicole Fosse, Lombard Twins, Lori Belilove and The Isadora Duncan Dance Company, Kathleen Marshall, Miami City Ballet, New York City Ballet's Ashley Bouder and Andrew Veyette, The Street Beats Group, "Step UP 3," Tap City Youth Ensemble and Tayeh Dance as well as performances from Bob Fosse's Dancin' and the musical Swing and performers from "So You Think You Can Dance" and "Dancing with the Stars." A tribute to Duke Ellington will also be part of the program.

The performance will be followed by a supper with the stars at The Grand Ballroom at The Hilton New York.

The evening will also feature the presentation of The Rolex Dance Award to Patrick Swayze. Lawrence Herbert and the Lloyd E. Rigler - Lawrence E. Deutsch Foundation will receive the Career Transition For Dancers' Awards for Outstanding Contributions to the World of Dance.

Career Transition For Dancers has helped over 4,100 professional dancers "identify their unique talents in preparation for establishing new careers when dance is no longer an option."
